Physical Therapy in East Hartford, CT

The Root Cause. Fixed for Good.

We do not manage symptoms and send you home with a handout. We evaluate how your entire body is moving, find what is driving the pain, and build a plan that addresses it at the source — so results carry over into your life and training, not just your next appointment.

You've Already Tried to Fix It. So Why Does It Keep Coming Back?

You Got Relief, But the Pain Came Back

Temporary relief is not a solution. If the pain keeps returning, the underlying cause was never identified — and treating the symptom without finding the source is why most PT falls short.

You've Been Told It's Fine, But It Doesn't Feel Fine

Getting cleared without answers is its own kind of frustration. If nothing structural showed up on imaging but you are still dealing with pain and limitations, the root cause is a movement and biomechanics problem — not a mystery.

You're Avoiding Things You Used to Do Without Thinking

Modifying your training, skipping activities, or bracing for flare-ups is not a long-term plan. When pain starts shaping what you will and will not do, it is time to actually fix it.

Common Challenges We Solve

What People Come to Us Dealing With

We do not position individual conditions as standalone specialties. Instead, we evaluate the whole body and address what is actually driving the issue — whether that is a movement pattern, a structural imbalance, or a recovery that stalled. The conditions below represent the range of situations our clients come to us dealing with.

Persistent low back, hip, or neck pain that keeps coming back

Shoulder pain — rotator cuff issues, impingement, or frozen shoulder

Knee pain, runner's knee, IT band syndrome, or meniscus issues

Ankle, foot, and lower extremity pain limiting training or daily life

Vestibular issues — dizziness, vertigo (BPPV), or concussion symptoms

Overuse injuries, tendinopathy, and stress-related movement breakdowns

Post-surgical rehabilitation and prehab before an upcoming procedure

Sports injuries — ACL recovery, hamstring strains, and return-to-sport

How It Works

Reset. Rebuild. Refine.

Reset

Rebuild

A personalized plan designed to restore balance, improve performance, and reduce pain — built around what the evaluation actually found.

Refine

Guidance to maintain changes, build resilience, and continue improving — so results carry forward long after the sessions end.

Alex is the best! He is patient and so knowledgeable. I have worked with him first after my back surgery and then when I injured my knee. By the end of our sessions I was pain free in my knee and left with all the correct guidance to continue healing at home with my back. He is the best!

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about physical therapy at NorthPoint Performance in East Hartford, CT.

How is this different from PT I've already tried?

Most PT clinics run multiple clients at once and follow insurance-driven visit limits. At NorthPoint, every session is one-on-one with the same Doctor of Physical Therapy. We start with a full-body evaluation to find the root cause — not just address the symptom that brought you in.

Do you accept insurance?

NorthPoint is an out-of-network provider. Clients pay directly, and we accept HSA and FSA. We provide superbills for patients who want to submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement through their insurance plan. No referral is required to get started.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no single answer — it depends on what we find in the evaluation and how your body responds. After the initial assessment, we discuss a realistic plan and timeline based on your specific situation. Most clients notice meaningful progress within the first few sessions.

Is this just hands-on treatment, or do I have to do the work too?

Both. Manual therapy, soft tissue work, and movement-based techniques are part of the plan — but so is progressive exercise and the education to maintain your progress. You are an active participant in every session. That is what makes results last beyond your last visit.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. Telehealth is available for appropriate cases. If you are not local to East Hartford or prefer to start with a remote consultation, reach out and we can discuss whether a virtual session is the right fit for your situation.
